Young Investigator Award (YIA) – $75,000

The Kidney Cancer Association offers four $75,000 Young Investigator Awards (YIAs). YIAs seek to encourage promising researchers in urology and clinical oncology who are planning to pursue an investigative career in kidney cancer. These merit-based grants, paid in one lump sum, are intended to fund physicians and scientists as they move from their fellowship programs to a faculty appointment.

To qualify, applicants must have achieved a post-graduate degree or doctoral degree and currently be at an academic rank of assistant professor or lower (instructor, fellow) at an academic medical institution (a single entity medical school and university hospital) at the time of their application. The KCA looks forward to reviewing submissions from young investigators who seek to advance our understanding of how to prevent, treat, and significantly reduce the global burden of kidney cancer.
