There are so many unknowns, considerations, and decisions to be made when living with kidney cancer. At the very least, people might feel overwhelmed, anxious, and exhausted.

That is what I am here to alleviate! As the Patient Liaison with the KCA’s Patient Navigator Program, my goal is to reduce the stressors that negatively impact your quality of life and connect you with the resources you may need, all in a confidential manner.

When you get in touch with me, there are a lot of things we could discuss. Perhaps you want to learn more about kidney cancer or find a cancer treatment center in your area. You might want to know more about mental, emotional, or physical support resources, or need help navigating financial assistance options. Or you might just need someone to talk to. If you are living with cancer, are a caregiver, family member, or friend, consider adding me to your support system, I am happy to help!

  • Virtual Support Groups: KCA offers two virtual support groups: one for patients and survivors, and another for caregivers and loved ones.
  • Answers to Commonly Asked Questions: Watch videos from kidney cancer experts as they provide answers to questions often asked by patients and caregivers.
  • Questions to Ask Your Healthcare Team: Use these questions throughout your kidney cancer experience when talking with your kidney cancer care team.
  • Ina®, The Intelligent Nutrition Assistant: Ina® sends personalized text messages that help people with cancer eat healthy, manage nutrition-related treatment side effects, and stay well-nourished throughout their treatment and beyond. Good nutrition can help people with cancer feel better and manage symptoms.
  • Online Support Communities: Join KCA’s Facebook group and SmartPatients to connect with others going through similar experiences.

Do not go through this alone, we are here for you!

    To Whom It May Concern
I am a program specialist and is searching for insurance or resources of financial assistance for a client, 61, who lives in TX. He has metastatic Kidney cancer. Do you provide financial assistance or know of any resources or insurance that can cover his expenses including medical and living expenses? He is not eligible for Medicare or Medicaid at this time. If you have any resources, I would so appreciate any of them or information.

    Thank you,
    Maria

Hi! I am looking for surveillance guidelines for after a partial nephrectomy for papillary renal cell carcinoma removal, stage T1a, grade 3, and no apparent metastasis. I have found AUA, NCCN, and Canadian Urological Association guidelines, but they are not consistent, and they are old (2007 – 2017). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. – Sue
