The KCA is excited to introduce five new members of the Patient & Caregiver Advisory Council! These individuals bring a variety of backgrounds and many years of experience to this council, which serves as the voice of the patient and provides the vital link between the patient community and the KCA. Stay tuned for more about these new members soon, but here’s an introduction.

Kathleen Campbell is from Virginia. She was caregiver for her husband, who passed away from renal cell carcinoma. Her passion is understanding end-of-life issues and finding new ways to help chronic illnesses.

Steven Edwards is from New York. Currently a teacher, he was a journalist who covered the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001. He was diagnosed with metastatic renal cell carcinoma in 2017 and is passionate about clinical trials.

Vineeta Hiranandani is from California. She was caregiver and advocate for her brother, who died of renal cell carcinoma. Currently, she is an executive in a California healthcare system. Her passion is to help patients and their families find the best care and investing in the science to find the cure.

Benjamin Lundin is from Connecticut. Since losing his father to renal cell carcinoma, he has become a passionate kidney cancer advocate and fundraiser.

Marissa Willis is from Missouri. She has metastatic renal cell carcinoma and is passionate about raising awareness for kidney cancer.
