World Kidney Cancer Day 2026

For World Kidney Cancer Day 2026, we’re raising awareness of emotional wellbeing for those living with kidney cancer, providing information and tools to help them talk more openly and access support if they need it.

The International Kidney Cancer Coalition’s 2025 Global Patient Survey revealed 85% of kidney cancer patients experienced emotional wellbeing challenges. Yet far too many never talk about them with family, friends or their medical teams.

World Kidney Cancer Day is celebrated around the world every year on the third Thursday of June by patients, carers, healthcare professionals and local organisations. Since it was established in 2017, it is a day dedicated to raising awareness of the local and global impact of kidney cancer, educating people about the disease, and making a difference in the lives of people affected by kidney cancer.

World Kidney Cancer Day is an initiative helmed by the International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC), a global network working together to reduce the burden of kidney cancer locally and globally through collaboration, sharing and learning from each other. Activities and resources include:
