Dr. Christopher G. Wood Endowment

In his honor and through your generosity, we established the
Dr. Christopher G. Wood Endowment. Our goal is to grow the endowment to $2,000,000 to support two merit awards and one grant.

The Kidney Cancer Association is honored to offer matching funds, up to $100,000, to help build this Endowment and fulfill its purpose in memory of a man we miss so much.

DR. CHRISTOPHER G. WOOD RISING STAR AWARD

The Dr. Christopher G. Wood Rising Star Award will be given at IKCS: North America and IKCS: Europe to a junior-level faculty who shows clear promise in advancing the kidney cancer space. The award reflects Dr. Wood’s dedication to educating, mentoring, and supporting the next generation of providers.

THE KCA CHRISTOPHER G. WOOD MEMORIAL GRANT

On an annual basis, as the fund allows, the KCA Christopher G. Wood Memorial Grant will award $80,000 to support research focused on early-stage kidney cancer care. As a dedicated surgeon, Dr. Wood had a tremendous impact on his patients’ lives and believed in the promise of research to transform kidney cancer care.
