The 2022 International Kidney Cancer Symposium: Europe will feature three special lectures by prominent experts in kidney cancer. The meeting will take place on April 22-24 in Antwerp, Belgium and virtually.

Dr. Tim O’Brien

Dr. Tim O’Brien is a urological surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London and President of the British Association of Urological Surgeons. His 2022 IKCS: Europe keynote lecture scheduled for Friday 22 April, 2022 is called “Learning from the extreme: Challenges in the surgical management of locally advanced and recurrent disease.

Dr. Laurence Albiges

Dr. Laurence Albiges is a medical oncologist at the Institut Gustave Roussy in Paris, France with a research focus on renal cell carcinomas. She is a member of the KCA’s Medical Steering Committee. Dr. Albiges will receive the Pieter de Mulder Award and deliver the accompanying lecture during IKCS: Europe. The KCA’s de Mulder Award recognizes oncologists who have made significant contributions to the treatment of kidney cancer.

Dr. Grant Stewart

Dr. Grant Stewart is Professor Surgical Oncology at the University of Cambridge, co-director of the Scottish Collaboration On Translational Research into Renal Cell Cancer, and chairs the Scientific and Education Committee of The Urology Foundation. Dr. Stewart will receive the John Fitzpatrick Award and deliver the accompanying lecture during IKCS: Europe. The KCA’s Fitzpatrick Award is given for significant achievement in urology care.
