 A good resource for cancer statistics may be found on the National Cancer Institute’s website (a new window will open). Some people have found the LifeMath Renal Cell Carcinoma Outcome Calculator to be helpful. You will need some specific information in order to use this tool. Your doctor can help you. Please remember, each case is different. Some people, including members of our charity’s board of directors, have survived for decades, despite having advanced kidney cancer.

Where is the best place to go for treatment?

Best Places for Treatment

There’s no single correct answer to this question, but our free Nurse Information Service can recommend centers of excellence by geographic region. The nurse can also help you to manage side effects from a cancer drug you are taking, as well as answer most questions about the treatment of advanced kidney cancer. A nurse is available to help you from 9-5 Pacific, M-F (excluding weekends and holidays). If the nurse is busy assisting another patient or family member, please leave a message and expect a return call the next business day.
